Bye Bye Cold!

Yeeezzzz.. Finally we've finished our season and time in the big apple, and joined the warmth and sun again. I am sooo looking forward to be able to be barefoot on deck without freezing my toes off, and to wash down in clothes that don't make me feel like a michelin man...

Though I must confes I'm slightly worried about Trevor's ideas of declaring Frida every day the rest of his time so he can throw me overboard for all the weeks he's missed out. NOT FAIR, I say, but, who ever listens to me? *muttering* Does ANYONE have any foolproof, or even just good ideas for me to avoid getting dunked? My best shot didn't do anything else than give me a scar... Oh well...

So, what have I done with my time in NY? Slightly over two months, and most of that we've spent working, including weekends.  I've managed to meet up with some friends, most of whom I've never met before, last one was Marvin, who joined me for a bit of sightseeing last week=) Thank you very much for that, I had a lovely time=)

I've seen Blue Man Group again, absolutely wonderful as always, went to Stomp, very good. We got the opportunity to see Cirque de Soleil as well. Amazing show, even though the NY show is family orientated and apparently not as good or exotic as the other shows are. Impressive nonetheless. I think my favourite were the singing and dancing light-posts=)

The last week I actually managed to get my arse out and do some kind of sightseeing. I took the subway to the NW corner of Central Parc. Or, rather, tried to. Since the New Yorkian subway system is not as modern and clear as I'm used to from the Swedish orderly one, I managed to get lost a few times. I should have taken one direct train, but managed to change trains five times, and then I still ended up at the wrong station. Oh well, decided to walk down south through the parc, keeping the houses in sight on my right hand side so as to not get lost. And where did I end up? In the NW corner, after somehow having managed to walk a big circle and change direction. *shaking my head* Gave up, and managed to take the right train down to the southern end, where I met up with Marvin and we walked down south, passing Times Square, had dinner at Tuesdays something, had a look at NY at night from the top of Imperial State Building. Very nice view=)

There is something about me and some big cities. I just get lost as soon as I turn around a corner. So far Berlin and NY have made it to that list. I hope it won't grow any longer...

Anyway, now I'm finally down in Florida, Ft Lauderdale, in the yard, and I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, maybe being able to do some excersise again, and the holidays coming up - I'll be home in Stockholm between 15th of December to 6thof January!
